Studying in a tertiary institution requires a clear vision of the career path to follow for every prospective student.
During the admission process, some candidates end up taking a program different from what they have passion for. While some settles for it and complete the program, others seek ways to switch to the course that suits their vision and career choice.
Admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria such as Federal, State & Private Universities, Polytechnic, Monotechnic & Colleges of Education is conducted by Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB).
JAMB conducts the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for freshers into the tertiary schools in Nigeria and Direct Entry Examination for candidates who already possess National Diploma (OND), Higher National Diploma (HND), NCE to further their studies from second year or third.
JAMB allows candidates who applied and sat for the 2018 JAMB UTME to change their course of study and choice of institution earlier submitted in the JAMB 2018 Registration Form.
To change JAMB Admission course of study or JAMB Admission choice of Institution, candidates are required to log onto the official portal for JAMB examinations. Click here to visit JAMB Portal.
Most common reasons prospective students apply for change of JAMB Admission Course of Study and Choice of Institution include:
- Low UTME score
- Incomplete O’level results
- Mistakes during registration
